Why the OECD tore a strip off Alberta - The Globe and Mail

During my recent trip to Alberta, I heard lots of discussion about the environmental costs of the Alberta tar sands projects. Unfortunately, there has not been much discussion about how the current government is wasting this valuable resource rather than managing it for the benefit of future generations.

One more reason why Premier Lougheed - the architect of the Alberta PC party, creator of the Alberta Heritage Trust fund and vocal critic of current oil sand policies - had the right idea.
